A friend is putting Switchback floorboards on his Street Bob for comfort's sake but would like a heel/toe shifter. What do you guys who've added Switchback floorboards do for a shifter? Brother has an '01 FXDP, but I'm betting that's different...comments?

 

Currently, I don't think anyone makes a heel/toe shifter for the dyna footboards. I'm using the shifter that comes with the boards which is almost identical to the stock street bob shifter.


BMC makes a heel/toe shifter but it's straight and I don't think it would work for this application. I emailed them about the possibility of making an angled shifter similar to what you see on touring models. No response yet.

 

Like said above, I just put some on my Bob the other night and used the shifter with the kit. Comparing it with the stock, they are the same. Maybe use a Softy shifter spline??
