Default Fat Bob (Adjusting The Rear Suspension. How?)

Okay... I'm humbling myself to ask what may be a no-brainer question...

How the hell do you adjust the preload on the Fat Bob's "hand-adjustable" stock rear suspension?

Thanks.

Well, it's hand adjustable as long as you buy the wrench that is required. I thought the same thing until i found the part in the p&a catalog (shock adjustment spanner #94448-82A.......$10.95)

Ah, the old "bait & switch" trick! Argh!

I don't know who's trickier, lawyers, politicians or marketers.

Anyway... I guess I'll be ordering that tool pretty soon. Thanks for the info.

I picked up a spanner wrench put out by drag specialties in a HD dealer store. You can also use a strap wrench. Probably helps to have the rear end lifted if using anything besides a spanner wrench though. I've heard people say they could turn it by hand with the bike on a lift - never tried it though.

I bought a Yamaha sportsbike a couple of years ago and it came with a complete set of tools including a set of wrenches for adjusting the shocks. The bike was half the price of my Harley.
