Photos of Arlen Ness 1-1/4" Fatbob Drag Bars?
The stock buckhorn bars on my 08' FXD really tweak my wrists so it's time to change the bars. I have a machinist friend who can build me custom mounts for the speedo and indicator lights so that really won't be an issue. I am looking at the Arlen Ness 1-1/4" Fatbob Drag Bars w/Internal Wiring Guide Holes, P/N 08-011. Does anyone run these bars and have a couple photos of them mounted that they can share?
Specs:
Center Width = 5"
Width = 27-1/2"
Rise = 9-1/2"
Pullback = 10-1/4"
Diameter = 1-1/4"
Other options might be Wild1's 501's or Carlini Super Sweeps. I keep measuring my "ideal" hand position and sitting on different bikes at the dealer to see what will fit best and the AN bars look to be a good choice. This is something I want to get right the first time!
Opinions and/or suggestions?
Thank you,
Rodger

Check out www.KCInt.com and see if they have bars similiar to what you are looking for.
I got my drag bars and Duece risers for less than $40 each and I love them. I've added my own 2" spacer because I have short arms, and it is pretty much perfect for me.
The bars and risers are a couple years old and are looking good...holding up better than the Kuryaken fork clamps my brother has just as a comparison.

I like you have looked long and hard at Handle bar options. I ended up ordering the 07 FXDSE set-up for my SG. It should bring the bars back a little and they are also wider and straighten out the wrists compared to the stock buckhorns.
Its not a cheap option but it looks good and has the speedo housing and a tach housing built in. Just throwing another idea out there for ya.
