Default Recent Trades

Recently I've seen an increase of Dyna riders trading in for Touring bikes, whether they be a Street Glide or Road King...

All I have to say is that you guys suck...you're doing nothing more than fanning the flames for my desire to do the same. I thought I was stuck on the Street Glides until I saw Devil Haircut's and les63's Road Kings. Both are beautiful bikes!

Recently I've been looking to add a detachable windshield and bags on my LR, but after seeing these two Road Kings, will I be happy with my "wannabe" Tourer...and I'm really thinking of a Road King over the Street Glide. This sucks!

Decisions, decisions....what to do....

I've just got to get home and ride. I've been fading out here are at work since I'm finally leaving in a week so my mind has been wandering. I'd really love to get a tourer and keep my LR, but that isn't a possibility. With the kids getting older, the Mrs. and I can finally do some weekends away together and the tourer seems like the way to go.

If it makes you feel any better I went from a Road King Classic to a Rocker then a Street Bob and the Bob is by far the most fun!

You can do the windshield for 300 bucks, and the bags for about 400,( price depends on type of bag and mounting preferences of course). Storage capacity is reduced with someone on the back. You could always add a sissy bar and sissy-bar-tour bag set up, im guessing that would run you about 400-500. That might be a cost effective alternative to the RK. The RK is going to have much more space out of the box though. Jake how much of your time on the bike is going to be spent touring vs riding solo? Would be a shame to get the RK or SG and not tour much.

Cheers,

Tom
