This is my first post, I found mine unexpectedly, in May of last year I went to look at a car here in Raleigh that he had in a storage unit. He opens it up and I see the car and in the back corner I see this dust covered bike. I ask him about it and he says it's and old harley that he lost interest in after 9/11, being he was a 40+ year carreer Army Soldier, he was quickly deployed to Iraq and then to the Stan. He said he would be willing to sell it of course I asked his price and he said he'll take 5k for it if he could get it. I rolled it out looked it over and was surprised that under the dust it looked brand new, so I promptly handed him the cash, F the car! I came back with a trailer and took it home, washed it, changed the fluids, fogged the cylinders and it fired upon the second thump of the engine. Looked down at the odometer and it had a grand total od 91 miles on it!!! And 86 on the tripometer! Needless to say I had to beg for forgiveness from the wife, since she was dead set against me getting a bike, oh well! You know the saying, better to beg for forgiveness then ask for permission..... I have since racked up 10k miles in the past year, and I f'ing love it! This f' er isn't going anywhere it's a keeper.

Sorry I haven't responded sooner for I've just checked in. I can't tell you the speed at those rpm's but 65 in sixth gear is 2450. The Baker OD6 is a great shifting transmission. Thanks for the kind words.

Considering a T with that kind of mileage is worth DOUBLE what you paid for it I guess your wife should not be too upset...
Only suggestion I would make on the bike is the headlight...whoever put that light in at HD should be in JAIL. To keep from always over driving your headlight buy one of the new LED lights...puts out 5X the light of that piece of junk HD put in...expensive but worth it when it comes to your life...
Also when it is tire change time look at the Metzler Merathon...could not believe the ride, tracking, handling and cornering difference....

At 2K rpm in 5th gear stock T is running 42-43 mph. At 60 mph it is 2500+-.
If my math is right the Baker should be running 2260 at 60 mph... My 1974 BMW R90S was 2K at 60....
Will need to ride my friend's bike some time...
Thanks again...Bob
