Default Looking for ideas, Dyna detachable bags.

I have a 14 DF, and I am very happy with the bike as a "commuter" and a around town runabout.
However there are times I wish I had a little storage for quick trips.

I know I am probably looking for the unobtainable,
but I have the standouts for detachable accessories on the struts, and was wondering if anything exists that has a backrest and bags together.

I installed the wideglide mini sissy, and at one time borrowed a friends detachable backrest. In the pic you will see that I have a slight chip on the WG sissy, when i put on my friends detachable sissy, it actually did install "over" my sissy, but was just a little tight. I was planning on taking a grinder and smoothing down that one area slightly, and re-powdercoating this winter.

But in short, does anything exist that i could have detachable bags, and a true passenger sissy that would dock to my hardware at the same time?

.

Thank you in advance for any insight

Regards
Rob

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking here. Are you looking for bags that come attached to the sissy bar (if so, I've never heard of anything like this) or bags that use the same docking points? I have Viking bags (they're garbage and customer service blows) that I've had mounted 3 different ways.

First, I just used bolts long enough to go through the bags, dock points, and fender. I didn't like this set up cause it was a bitch to remove the bags for cleaning

second, I fabricated and powder coated a quick detach bracket that used HD sissy bar docking points and locking sissy bar latches and I just used two sets of docking points so I had my sissy bar and QD bags. This setup worked very well, but as all QD acessories do, the docks wore so the bags eventually became very noisy over bumps.

Third/currently, I use the same Viking bags with easy brackets which I love. They're lockable, QD mounts, and they come with metal dock points so they never wear and start rattling. For this, you install the sissy bar docks, then the easy bracket docks, then the fender bolt. Looks good with the bags off and only takes a second to remove. I'll run out in a min and take some pics of my setup. Sorry this was so long, but hopefully this helps.

I like the metal dock points much more. Way less movement in the bracket so no rattling and they're small so if I have my bags off it doesn't look obnoxious

no problem bud. It's a good idea to search easy brackets in Google so you can find the lowest price. I got mine from Amazon for (I think) 100 bucks. At the time, Amazon Ws the cheapest. I'd also check eBay.

Well as mentioned, not anything I've seen with sissy bar and bags connected, but as also mentioned, the Leatherpro quick detach system works with sissy bar mounting areas with a quick swap of the bolt (one time only). Although I don't have a sissy bar, here is a link to my install thread where you can see pics of the two mounting bolts where your bags and sissy bar would go.

Garry at LP has a ton of selection of bags to suit your every need. Good luck!
