Killer Custom's Jail Break Is The Breakout That Refused to Blend In
A Lithuanian custom shop reworks the Harley-Davidson Breakout into a lower, sharper machine with subtle but deliberate changes.
Custom Identity
Custom Harley-Davidson Breakouts often follow a familiar formula, but small deviations are what separate one build from another. The “Jail Breaker,” based on a 2022 Breakout, comes from Lithuanian shop Killer Custom, a builder known for working within established design boundaries while pushing visual identity just far enough to stand out.
For this project, the shop leaned heavily on components from its in-house Avenger and Aggressor parts lines. The goal was straightforward: reshape the Breakout into something more muscular and imposing. Rather than reinventing the bike, the build refines its proportions and presence, emphasizing bulk and attitude over radical transformation.
Front-End Overhaul
The most noticeable changes begin at the front. The stock headlight and cowl are replaced by a larger aftermarket fairing, immediately giving the bike a more substantial face. Additional covers around the radiator, forks, and side sections increase visual density, making the front end appear heavier and more purposeful.
Lowered Stance
The bike’s stance plays a major role in its new identity. Both the front and rear suspension have been lowered, by as much as eight inches (around 20 cm), bringing the Breakout closer to the ground. The wheels remain stock but are fitted with new tires and partially enclosed by custom fenders, reinforcing the low-slung silhouette.
Beyond the major structural tweaks, the build incorporates a series of smaller enhancements: a back frame spoiler, aftermarket mirrors, air-cushioned grips, and LED lighting throughout. A 15-inch brake rotor kit stands out as the only significant mechanical upgrade, suggesting that performance changes were not the primary focus.
Stock Powertrain
Notably, the engine and exhaust system remain untouched. This decision aligns with the overall philosophy of the build, prioritizing aesthetics and stance rather than altering the Breakout’s core performance characteristics. The result is a bike that looks dramatically different without changing how it fundamentally rides.
Cost Breakdown
Killer Custom does not disclose the final price of the complete motorcycle, but the additional parts alone total around €4,300 (roughly $5,000). Factoring in the base cost of a 2022 Breakout, along with labor and paintwork, the final investment climbs significantly beyond that figure.
The paintwork ultimately defines the Jail Breaker’s identity. Its color choices and layout create a distinct visual theme that sets it apart from other customized Breakouts. Combined with the name, the design evokes a calculated, almost cinematic quality—less about excess and more about controlled, intentional styling.
