Conroe here as well, Ride these roads a lot but lately just too much traffic.... We usually head west.
I rode the Texas Independence Parkway from 105 to Chappel Hill this last Sunday, I think it's 1155 which is a great road to ride. I think most of Washington County is pretty great.

I think your manual is referring to the primary case where the access is through the side cover for checking and filling. The gearbox dipstick has always been in the location your showing.

Thanks Mervk, I was thinking that it was more the holes drilled and size of them that was the difference. I have an "A" which has two holes near the bottom and one at the top .
