Had new tires installed a little while ago and rode it home fine. A few weeks later I take it out for a ride and the TPMS low tire pressure light comes on with it's little idiot light brother on the speedo the red dot. So, I'm pissed as I just spent hundreds for new tires and now something is wrong. Worked fine before the trip to the dealer. It will give me the front tire reading but not the rear. I check the tire pressure and it is fine. I don't have time for the dealer and am curious if anyone else has experienced this and what it could be. I always check the TP before rides and I do not rely on the TPMS. But, I would like for it to work!
And they are usually buried in epoxy, so there is no such thing as changing that battery, you have to change the unit itself.
And seeing they're 10 years old, change the front while you're at it.
