Good one Mr. R. See, you can be funny once in the while. As for Oil level checking dip sticks - I have never heard of a magnetic one. I assume that its intentions are to catch free roaming iron particulates?

I am running one and it is always covered in a very thin film of grey micro filings. Bike has a DK reusable filter so I assume this is the stuff that gets by the filter mesh.
Word of caution: the dipstick **** gets to the same temp as your oil and you have to check your oil fast after a ride, or wear ove-gloves.
Purchased it to "detect" problems between oil changes. No regrets.
