Before you scotchbrite it, maybe try some black plasti dip on it to match the t-header. If you don't like it, it peels off. Hard to undo scotchbrite if you don't like it (as I've learned more than once).[/quote]
Yea after you said that I went and looked at her again and ill def be doing the plasti dip first!

Finally, someone besides myself actually mentioned where this look originally came from. That look was part of the cafe style that Harley was doing as standard back in the '70's. The black, the t-bars, the quarter fairing and everything. The Dyna's we see today are just a continuation of those earlier design concepts, albeit on steroids.

The "cafe" look may be popular with some of the clubs out in California at the moment as well as on the SoA television show, but it sure didn't originate with either of them. It's a look that was popular way back in the day with a whole lot of people, but then sort of gradually fell out of style and largely disappeared from the Harley scene. Now it's back. Which is great, because no-nonsense Harley's are the bomb, and the Dyna is the perfect frame to use as a starting point for this style.

I love my setup. Jimmy is a good dude.

Get the fairing on there, and that might just be my ultimate dream setup... That is some sexiness right there.

Who makes a fairing that will fit a 14 FXDL? And not a batwing, but rather a quater

I would assume that any of the current fairings that have 49mm mounting hardware would fit once you get rid of the funky headlight eyebrow mount/riser setup and go bottom mount headlight with standard bars/risers. Don't quote me thought...
