Default 200 tire without any mods?

Can you go with a 200 rear without any mods on a FatBob? I was considering that when I get the point of needing a new tire.

If so, are there any pros and cons in a 180 vs 200? ...aside from the asethetics.

not a 100% sure but i've been told there are several mods you have to do to the rear in order for the 200 to fit correctly. on the other hand, i know harley sells the kit for the 180 conversion but I have a few friends who run it without the kit so i guess it really comes down to how wide your rim and fender are.

Hey Brood...I'm not sure, but I think I have read that you can indeed run a 200 on a fatbob without mods.
Do a search and you'll likely pull something up.

peace

I thought I read that fatbobs/WGs could run them without any modifications? Was that correct?

Are there any differences in the swingarms and/or drivetrain components between FatBob abd StreetBob?

I have read that it will fit the Fat Bob no problem as it already has a 180 stock.......as far as changes go I have to assume it would affect the handling for sure. Good or bad I have no idea. I remember someone posting that it might affect the turn stability, actually making the bike more stable or needing more effort to turn. I noticed this when I put shorter shocks on my bike so small changes can definitely affect handling I just don't have any hands on advice on the tire.
