Default CAM Sensor Cover

I'm probably missing this in the service manual, but my wife picked up a new CAM Sensor Cover for my FXDF. I've looked in the manual and can fine torque settings for the CAM Cover, but can't find anything for the bolts attaching the Sensor Cover to the CAM Cover. Don't want to over or under torque it.

You mean the lil medallion in the middle of the cam cover? Just put some blue lok-tite on the bolts and tighten them down to a respectable snugness.

The term Cam sensor cover is a carry over from the older engines. If you have fwd controls the cam cover is next to your right heel, and the little round cover with the five screws is called an ignition cover, again an old carry over name. There are no ignition parts behind this cover. There is a tighening sequence to the bolts and the torque is 90-120 in. lbs.

That seems like a pretty high torque for those small screws, and yes I noticed you said inch pounds but still seems a little high. Accurate torques at the link below. I vote for a little blue loctite and just snug them up. That's what I did and have not had any problems.

Thanks for the info ... and yes, I know it's a carry over term, but that's what was on the package and in the manual, so I used the term.

Snug them up with a little locktite, should be fine! 5 screws to hold on a little cap.
