Street Bob

There doesn't seem to be much consistency to the way different vendors measure and name their bars. I had a brand new set of these in my attic http://www.jpcycles.com/product/5000840 when I bought my 07 SB. PO had dropped it on a trailer and the bars were bent. These bars are EXACTLY the same dimensions as the bars that were on my bike - I laid them side by side and the only differences were due to the damage. I assume they were original as there were no signs of having been changed out.
This chart gives the HD dimensions http://www.harley-davidson.com/pna/p...bmLocale=en_US
Stock bars for my bike are 56079-93 which show a rise of 8.5"

I just did this very conversion. The Street Bob "Mini-Apes" are 12" according to H-D. You can NOT put these on without extending the cables and wires. You can generally get away with 1 1/2" additional bar height without changing cables and wires, occasionally 2", but more than that (this conversion adds 4") and you must lengthen the cables and wires. Easiest way to do that is to order the Street Bob throttle, brake, and clutch cables; you can splice in additional wire easily enough that there is no need to change the wires.
On a side note, for me, the 12" mini-apes weren't enough additional height. I'm kicking myself for not going with 18" apes, but the mechanics talked me out of it. Really think about where you want your hands when riding, and be sure to get the right bars the first time.
