how much for a dyno tune?
After trying to get my Fat Bob to run without too much poping on decel I have decided to get it dyno tuned. Any of you have any ideas of how much this will cost? I talked to the indy shop and to get it on the dyno with 3 runs it is $125 dollars and when mapping starts depending on how long it takes the price goes up. Also what is your average mileage when you refuel? Thanks much.

mine was $385 i think it made 61 passes if i am not mistaken i would have to look at my dyno sheets... also by one of the most rep tuners in the area that is known for getting the most out of the head work that Larry does... so that is where i went. he also did Chads bike so since he helped me on my build i went there

well I will be dropping it off tomorrow afternoon. I just hope that I can get it running good, since I can tell that it is lagging and or running rich because I used to refuel at about 135 miles and now it is about 108. This is after changing from V/H short shots to V/H big shots. I did the re-map and gave it more on the 0 position to stop some of the decel pop. Once again thank you gentlemen for your input.

Cost is usually dependent upon how good the person is running the dyno. If they don't know diddly, they usually charge cheap prices. The people who charge more are usually the better ones.
I wanted to go to Tman Performance for my tune but they wanted $395. I just couldn't do that. I went a slightly cheaper route.

For info on tuning, refer to the "dyno do's and donts" articles written by Dr. Dyno and published in American Iron Magazine.

Lots of good info there.
