Stage one will work with the stock cover but stage two will not work with the cover.

First of all you didn't mention if you are getting the Arlen Ness Big Sucker for stage 1 or stage 2. They aren't the same.

The stock cover will fit the stage 1, as has been mentioned, but will not fit the stage 2, as was also pointed out.

Your black ring saying "96" etc. is removable with a heat gun as mentioned.

Putting that black ring on another cover designed to fit the AN BS 2 will probably look out of place.

Just what Big Sucker kit are you buying, and what is it that you really want to accomplish?

Found this on Ebay for $20. Fits my Ness Stg 1 sucker perfectly.

I saw that one, too. Like stated, it's just the round chrome insert which will cover up the black ring that Antman is trying to keep visible.

If that's the look you want, then get the Big Sucker stage 1. You will have to trim your stock air cleaner cover, but it is a great looking mod. Oh, yeah, it's free!

Here is the cover that came with my Stage 2. It is wrinkle black.

However, I almost want a Stage 1 so I can run the cut-up stock cover except I would scotchbrite the center and any chrome on it and paint it black.
