I hate the cheap looking cross-head bolt that fixes the rear of my SB seat to the rear fender - to me it looks cheap and tacky.

I went to the local HD dealer but something held my wallet in my pocket as I was not prepared to pay the $21.95 they wanted for a chrome bolt... OK I'm cheap... but surely there is a good looking bolt out there that would work but not cost the earth.

Any suggestions guys?

 

Duct tape?

I have the same one too. I have had it for over 4 years and to be honest I think I like it better than most.

I got one from Chromed Hog and very pleased! He custom made me on for only a few bucks more and I had it within just a few days too.

 

Thanks again for the advice guys - particularly you Tom. I thought I'd show you what I found - a 45 calibre shell casing from California Customs (San Diego) good price, great quality and fast delivery. This is what it looks like - maybe not to everyone's taste but it's my 'bike and I like it - much better than that darned chrome screw...
