A buddy of mine has a 01 Wide Glide and wants to put FL Hard Bags on it.
Does any one make a mounting/support kit to do this or is he on his own

Has anyone done this conversion

 

Check out softbrake. I know they make the bagger tail for softails, but I do not know about Dyna's...

 

I will be putting RKCL bags on my Dyna soon. I imagine ghost or easy brackets will work with any bag. Give them a look.

 

hard bags are heavyier and need lower supports
guess its time to make some

 

It would also help to put a steel plate inside the bag for support as the fiberglass can break.

 

There is a member who mounted them on his dyna. I think he made a bracket. Either Priest or someone else who added a batwing to their bike. Sorry if I'm wrong but do a search of the forums for batwing or sometghing like that.

i just fabed up my own to mount rk police hard bags on my fxdc. fabed my own quick detach brackets that mount to the hd quick detatch, and made another bracket that bolts under the seat and comes out with some zuse fasterns for the front support and use wingnuts to attatch the back support bracket. in the process of getting it pattented and then i might start manufacturing them if i have time

 

Why put hard bags on that Bike? Consider bags from Biker's Friend. Back support, storage, and looks better I think.


I dunno. Jus my opinion. I have the 02 Wide Glide.
