Default accessory splice

What wire can I splice into to power a fairing stereo that is not "ON" all the time (only "ON" when the bike is running) ?
What color wire can I easily locate that is a "switched" HOT wire?

see drawing. i taped into the acessory wire that is under the seat. it is fused in your fuse box under acessory. there is another wire next to it that is direct to the battery positive.

on my 006 FXD I pulled power and ground for my gauges off the fuel gauge.

should be simple and close for your stereo.

Does anybody have a wiring schematic that shows the color of a "switched" wire, not an always "hot" wire?

i showed you in post 2. but here it is again. so the plug that has the yellow arrow is an accessory plug. this has 12 volts when the key is on and off when you turn the key off. it has 4 wires. see pics
