Default Pics of My Super Glide

Was told to post here so figured it was a good idea.

When I picked her up.

1997 Dyna Super Glide
Picked it up for $4500 and felt like I got one hell of a deal.

As the bike sits now

I hated the buck horns so im running a set of sportster bars. They are better than the buck horns but they just arent for me.
I want some more bags for convience but I just dont like bags...

I really want new bars and a new seat, but im not sure what to go with just yet. Any Ideas?
In the future Im gonna lower it, figure out what tank I wanna go with and, do a finder conversion.
I want to use two front fenders from a roadking one on the front and one on the back.

Let me know what you guys think.

Little soap and water would go a long way.

I don't have the supplies(patience) to make this thing as clean as i want it to be.
I'm gonna take it to get it detailed and have all the chrome polished.
It sat in a barn for the better part of a year. I got it, changed the primary fluid, brake fluid, trans, and oil. Put on a new petcock cause that one was leaking. It needs some TLC but for 4500 i,m not complaining. I'm 26 and bought my own Harley with my own money that i busted my own *** for.

Thanks for the comment. Any Idea on a seat? yours looks really nice!

Congrats on being young and buying a harley. I worked at a factory during high school and had mine payed off when I was 18, I’m 21 now. Take your seat apart and shave down the factory foam. You can you use a electric filet knife. Just take your time, and do a little on each side at a time.

Way to go mun.
Word...Have some patience.
You've busted your tail to get that bike now try to enjoy the work of your own hands.

My first Harley, back in the 70's, was bought in a box, I built it then raced it, for Harley.
I've kept that tradition and love it, have never made a payment on a Harley other than the work of my own hands. That's an enjoyable feeling.

Maybe loose the pull back risers and try a mini ape or keep them and try a drag bar. To my eye bars with pull back don't look quite right with a big pull back riser. Best solution is go to a Harley shop and sit on a bunch of bikes and find the bars that feel the most comfortable to you. Also start shopping in the forum classifieds that'll give you some ideas.

You got a nice look'in Bike!
You cant go wrong with a Mustang seat, might look around and find one that looks brand new for a fair price.

Congrats, apes or drags would look good and for a seat I always recommend c&c seats
