Default What is faster? Dyna or Sporty?
I am buying a dynaglide custom in the spring. My friend insists that a 07 sporty 1200 will be faster than the 07 dyna. Is this true?

maybe off the line. My SG hits the rev limiter at 95MPH in 3rd and doesn't sound peaked out

stock sportster is faster. weighs less.

Sporty off the line.......Dyna after 70mph......then the Dyna hits 6th gear and the Sporty is toast.

Don't know about that, last XL I had was good to 125.

My TwinCam SuperGlide won't get there.

Ive had the FXDL to 110-115 with more to go but I don't have the stones anymore to do that chit...I think it would beat the Sporty.

There is plenty of difference in the bikes themselves I think the Dyna would take the sporty , if you balance out the other variables like length of race, weight and skill of rider, getting tire to stick on launch.
