Default New exhaust, need some management.

Put the Vance and Hine short shots staggered straights on...

Bike sounds 20xs better then it did, it has very minimal popping, but im more worried about the bike being to lean, I'm looking to maybe get rid of both issues without getting a fancy tuner and get the bike tuned.

I was looking at the fuelpak but it seems to have some bad reviews, or I was considering the xieds...

I will probably eventually add a big sucker kit.

The XIEDs might work. They aren't 100% effective in all cases for eliminating popping. They worked fine with my stock exhaust, but couldn't eliminate the popping once I added some slip ons. Since your motor will be running even leaner than now once you add your AC, I'd bite the bullet & decide on a tuner. Keep in mind that if you get the XIEDs, you're rolling the dice.

Put Short Shots on mine and read the same thing about the Fuelpak but I bought it anyway. I have had ZERO problems with it. Don't expect too much from it other than adding a little more fuel and it is fine. I get a decel pop every now and then but if you actually close the throttle completely it shouldn't happen.

I too am purchasing the Fuel Pak soon. I am sure Vance and Hines puts a lot of time doing research and development with their products to provide quality results. From what I've read here, the people who were most unhappy with the fuelpak were those who were expecting more tunability from the unit. If and when I put a full exhaust on my bike that will be the extent of my mods to the engine and all I am looking for is cost efficient rideability.

Ditto...ant they have great discounts. Got my 1st tuner (TFI) for $150 and upgraded to GEN3 for $175. Both are fantastic for current/future upgrades.

Had the Xieds for the first year stock air cleaner and rush slip-ons--OK

With the installation of the 2 into 1 and high-flow intake I went with the cobra auto-tune.
Not looking back. For me and my 09 the best price and tuner combo going.
Everyone else that hasn't actually tried them may have some negative things to say but for those of us that did it, can't be happier.
No down time. been running this combo for a year, year round driver.
Auto tune is worth the price.
