Default Just ordered a lowering kit, and 14" apes, PICS INSIDE CHECK EM OUT!

Well starting a new job making a little more money I decided to treat myself to some goodies...

I ordered Chubby 14IN outlawz

And progressive lowering shocks for the rear and lowering fork springs, I probably won't lower the front because I liked the look of the rear lowered with the front not being, but who knows...if I don't like it ill throw in the springs.

I know I won't have an issue doing the shocks/springs.

I have been reading for hours about bar installs but haven't found much but people talking about cables and different style bars...but it seems that almost everyone fits the 14s without cable change, just need to reroute the cables which isn't an issue..

Does anyone have any tips or pointers on how to snake the wires, or anything that would make my life easier?

Thanks.

I used braided fishing line. Tied one end to a small nut and dropped it in the hole at the bottom of the bars and bounced it around to come out the top. Tie it to the wire bundle and tape off the end so it wont snag. Then by alternating pushing and pulling feed the wire bundle through

Ill probably be taking a million and a half pictures so nothing doesn't go back together right.

Yeah that's correct. I just cut and spliced the wires.

You don't think there would be an issue in splicing them?

I really want to keep it as stock and as neat as possible.

Do the wires run under the tank or thru the neck on the frame?

Is it possible to remove the tank completely from the bike?

No you don't have to completely remove the tank. It's a PITA, But it'll make your job easier.

I would really like to remove the tank? It is as simple as removing the bolts and removing a plug/connector under it?

Ill be doing it in my garage, so ill have benches and everything to put the stuff on to protect it

There's a little more to it than that but it's not very complicated. Ride it until its near empty and take a pics before each step so you have a visual aid if you get confused during reassembly. Get a manual before you start and have fun!

Can you give me any pointers on how to completely remove the tank? I believe the low fuel light is on, so I'm sure it's pretty low....

I also just ordered then signal relocate kit, so that will be less wires I need to re run, I wanted to do a mirror flip and that's the only way it can be done.

I'm sure getting anxious to get all this done, my list keeps on getting bigger though
