Default running wire for side mount light???

I have a road 6 model a brake light that i hade put on a side mount license plate . been trying to figure out how to run the wires from the light to under seat? I was considering drilling into swing arm and fishing up to seat. Very nervous about drilling thinking it might weaken swing arm. i would like to have the wires hidden. Any input would help and i ride a 09 fat bob.
Thanks in advance.

i've got my wire running along the inside of the swing arm.

i found some trick little tabs that adhere with 2 sided tape to the swing arm to keep it all nice and tight and out of sight.

Black zip ties and some careful routing on the inside of the swing arm. I planned to run them through the swing arm but in the end the work required wasn't worth it. It isn't a show bike and no one will ever notice the difference. Those clips are pretty slick though.

with all the work i've done to make my bike as clean as possible (no visible turn signals, clean rear fender, no cables or control housings, etc...) i couldn't justify a few zip ties wrapped around the swing arm.
