Default Wide glide wheel swap

Needing some info/clarification. I have an 06 wide glide and would like to swap wheels from a 2011 wide glide. Is there any issues with axle sizing or bearing that I should be aware of before pulling wheels off?

Anyone know if there is a difference between 06 and newer wide glide bearing/axles?

Thanks, Borisat

So.... I should be able to pick up some 1" bearings and toss them in the new wide glide wheels and then utilize my current 1" axle? Correct or no?

As long as the OD of the bearings are the same you should.

That's what I was thinking. Appreciate the advice, once things slow down here I'll get it all swapped.

its not that simple.... 07 and below are double row 1 inch (wide) bearings... 08 and up are single row (narrow) 25 mm bearings...So the bearing recesses in the 08 and up wheels are over 5mm shallower..... you need 6205-16-2RS 1"x52x15 bearings available here http://www.vxb.com/page/bearings/PROD/Kit7940 and also on ebay...
