Default HD 110kit for 96ci

HD shop is putting a 110 kit into my 2010 96 cubic" fatbob. This is the screaming eagle kit HD kit that is in the CVO models.
I am looking at the thundermax auto tune. Is it worth the money or just reflash thr oem module which is what harley shop suggests.

Not to change your mind but why are you going to a 110 when you have to have the case bored, costly.
When you can go with a 107 and not have to bore. a Good 107 kit will produce better power any way.
i would not do a reflash on it as they will do a typical 110 flash and not get it like to needs to be.

Just a thought

I already ordered it. Just waiting for parts. $5500 out the door.
Raced 2 stroke open mod sleds for years and always had the concept no replacement for displacement. The shop here had a deal for the 96 to 110. I am new member here and should have joined this forum in 2010 when I first bought bike. Lots of good info here.

Since you are in Canada if you can I would cancel that order with the shop and have them just do labour for you for heads and big bore from headquarters. Although the 107" is not as big , there is no replacement for a quality build that will outperform any HD 110". have a look on this forum regarding 107" builds and you will find that most of us know that the shops doing these builds really know what they are doing with a complete complimentary build that will really outperform any HD SE builds. Even if you can't cancel I would at least look at Tman or GMR to do some head work later when you want better numbers as well as one of their cams. Good luck with the build. ride safe.

Not to dissuade you but isn't that about the cost of a new 120R?

Prices in Canada may be much higher than in the USA.

+1 on the 120 or even the S&S 124 for close to the same investment. I would consider the 110 if I could pick up a low mileage used one.

I looked at a 107 mod for my 88 which is about what you are attempting to do going 96 to 110. Once I pull the engine and split the cases for boring, it's making more sense for me to get a 120R. More sense and more fun.

Too late to cancel order. Thankyou for all the info. Okay I like the idea of some headwork later. When I ordered at shop few weeks ago this would be new top end completeH, screaming eagle cam and case boring. Price for 120 kit is ridiculous. The mech at shop has done alot of 110,s and reliable. What's a stock 96-- 68 ft lbs? I should be close to 110ftlbs now? I have spent alot on this now with Carlini bars and all new steel braided chrome control cables, LED signal light mirrors. My investment $ this year is done.
One question with what I have coming is a tuner you guys would recommend?
Thank you for all the replies
