Some time ago, I read on this forum about someone taking two factory rear fenders and making one long fender out of it. Can someone give me some pointers? Also, can this be done with the front? Any help with tracking a used rear would be appreciated

Joe (JRK5892) did it for his Dyna:

I believe he or Powder Pros was offering stretched fenders for sale at one time. You might try to PM him or look them up on facebook. Or you could get a 360 or 180 fender blank and make your own.

Dan it really depends on what look you are going for, a simple stretch of the stock or something different. For example I wanted more of a Street Glide tail dragger look so I took a Street Glide fender and have grafted it to the Fat Bob fender. See what I have been doing here:

In addition you will see work done by Chop on his fender.
I am now working on doing the pre-paint shaping and surfacing along with filling the unneeded holes.

Great work on your Project Hypr! That thing will like amazing when its done.
Maybe i should give some background for this thread. I work part time in a custom car shop. My boss is just getting back into custom bike builds again and the schedule is getting pretty tight and i'm tired of looking online for a fender i like that fits. Thats why i want to lengthen mine and maybe cut some designs into it. That way its a true custom fender, not something stamped and thrown on a shelf (nothing wrong with that, just not my idea of custom)
