1 in. handle bar raise?? cables or no?
So like most of you out there im not rich and i am saving up for new handle bars and new cables to go with it for my 2012 FatBob.
I got to thinking (trouble I know) What if I unbolt the raisers and put in a 1 inch spacer for the time being. Just to raise it up so my 6"5 butt does have to drop my shoulders to grab the bars.
So I did this and the cables aren't as lose as they were before but turning side to side I couldn't see the cables binding or stretching.
So the question is, Has anyone done this before? Is there an issue that im not seeing or have thought of? Something else or a better way to check to make sure im not stressing the cables? Any advice would be great. even just that 1 inch makes a difference but its not worth it if its gona cause a safety hazard for my wallet later on.

I added a 2" spacer on my Wide Glide and the stock cables were fine.
Here's some info on newer Fatbobs: http://www.spacerjim.com/HarleySpacers.html
Looks like you'll be fine with a 1" spacer, but anything larger will require a new clutch cable.
