Default Brace and Gaitors - which ones and how

2001 FXDX
More concerned with which fork brace to run (if there is a difference in them, or just go whatever's cheapest if they all perform the same?)

But also, it will be totally black, so the fork legs will be the only big piece thats still shiny...Fork gaitors will cover that...where are you guys getting them for the 39mm forks?

And, can they be run together? I've heard different answers...if so, how? Just luck finding a pair that work together or is there a trick?

Thanks!

For the forkbrace I'll go with the superbrace since they're in the game since the beginning

I used a Eurocomponents brace and shaped the underside to fit closer to the fender. The gaiters are for a Kawasaki W650...this is what it looks like on my ex-FXDXT. Very slim; not like the huge dog-bone effect of the other braces I'd seen.

I did the superbrace during one a them group buys on here. Gaitors of eBay, cheap! No trick, mine just rest on the brace...

Sharkey, your bike is so clean!

Are there any nice looking ones for the 49mm forks? Maybe skeletonized to fit the fxdb?
