Default starting issue

I have an 07 street bob. Battery will not start bike when it is cold (40 degrees) really cranks slow. Brand new battery as of yesterday. I have no security system but something seems to be draining battery. I have warm n safe heated gear and a power commander pc III. It doesnt seem to crank as fast as it should even when warm outside. Could the starter be the culprit. Thanks for any help

Before you installed the battery did you fully charge it?
What brand of battery did you install?
Have you washed the bike lately or been in the rain?
Do you have any of the heated gear plugged in before you try and start it?
Have you tightened all connections from the battery and starter?

Make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight. Whats the battery voltage at rest? Maybe the new battery just needs a charge. Was the battery a direct replacement, same CCA. Get it started and see what the voltage when running is. Should be 14+. Also measure how hard it pulls down the battery when cranking.

I'm not sure on the current demand. Tough to measure unless you have a clamp on meter or put the one you have in series, but the voltage shouldnt drop too much. Down to 10 0r 11 Volts or so maybe. Make sure nothing else is plugged into the bike when cranking it over. Also make sure bike is neutral. Alot of clutch drag on a Harley even with clutch pulled in.
