Default Mounting PowerVision to Street Bob

I want to mount my powervision to my street bob. To access the frame under the tank, do I need to completely remove my tank (disconnect all lines and wires)? Or do i have enough slack to just remove the tank bolts and lift up a little? Thanks

I was able to run the cable after pulling the rear fuel tank bolt only. Just lift the back up about 3 inches and you should have enough room to fish it through to the front.

you have some room by just removing the bolts. You can loosen the front, remove the back and use a small block of wood to hold it up. The front does not have as much wiggle room, due to the tank line and wires, but may be just enough for what you are doing.

Thanks everyone! You all were right, I just had to undo the front and rear bolts and fish it up. Worked great! I'll get some pics on later.

I just ran my data cable under the dash/speedo and it comes out the front of the dash with the speedo wires. Don't have pics of this but here is how I have it mounted to my old mini apes:

I ran it under the tank. It worked great! I have mine mounted almost exactly like yours. It just fits great there.

It does fit great there. However, I switched bars last month and because of the different pullback I now have interference with the clutch cable and the back top-right corner of the PV touching. I have to figure out a new mounting position now or get a longer clutch cable and reroute it.

Are you planning on leaving it mounted all the time? I am using quick-disconnect but I never leave home without my PV. Just too much information I like to see while riding and I have now become accustomed to having all that info, literally, at my fingertips.

I think so. I like that fact that I can have all that info whenever I want it.

Did you run the cable from Fuse box>under seat>dash/speedo? Another question, why don't you mount it in the middle of the handlebar? Just curious
