Default D&D Fatcat vs ThunderHeader vs SE 50\50

Hey guys, was considering stage 1, and since Cops are now checking our exhaust in quebec(they need to be under a 100 decibels) I was thinking about a 2in1 set up who would be quieter than my current set up with 50\50 pipes, Is there a way to put a thunderheader or a fatcat under a 100decibels or should I start looking out in a supertrapp with the disc who can be added to reduce the sounds ?

start looking at the supertrapp, i have the thunderheader and its louder than 100 decibels. the d&d is over that with the quiet core u might want to call them for other options on baffles. but the supertrapp is quiet the ones i have heard. i think its around 98 decibels.

How far away are they when they check it? Check it from side or rear? What rpm do they check. I can check my Supertrapp for you. I have the billet open end cap so it will be a little louder.

here it goes: Distance between your exhaust pipe and the sonometer -> 24inch in an angle of 45 degree,at 2500 you got to be under a 100db and at idle you need to be under 90db

thanks a lot brother

I have a Fat Cat with the big boar baffle. I just downloaded a sound level meter for my iphone yesterday but haven't had time to check it yet...next time I fire it up to ride later in the week I will check it, but I guarantee it is WAY above those limits. I bet it's over 100 just at idle....at 2,500 it wouldn't surprise me if it were close to 120 at that distance.

My quiet fatcat is not loud at idle but at 2500 rpm's I am sure it is louder.
