Default Passing lamps etiquette?

Do you ride with your P-lamps on during the day?

Mine stay on all the time, as for the comment about defensive driving. You can be as defensive as you want out there but there are so many dumbasses on phones talking and texting or just plain stupid. I don’t trust stupid. I like to put all the odds in my favor, including defensive driving.
Be seen. Be safe.

I do as well. No toggle, they stay on all the time.

No, since I can turn them off via toggle switch.
And when using them at night on back highways, will turn them off when incoming traffic is approaching as well.

As for being seen better, if that is what you are relying on over great defensive driving and awareness, then your already screwed.
Hence come from the time of before headlights during the day time, and if you think that front head light and passing lamps on is going to keep someone from trying to kill you, your very mistaken. Hence these are the same people that pull out in front of semi trucks the size of buildings to cause wrecks.

Most folks do not know of that the recommendation to run high beans during the day comes from when incandescent bulbs were the standard headlight bulbs. Now with Halogens and LED, folks are now blinding other drivers with all that brightness. Now other drives cannot accurately judge speed or distance because of the blinding light. If they are looking at all.

And folks still pull in front of trains and large trucks.

Lane position and running with traffic will aid in being seen.

I find the Custom Dynamics white/yellow turn signal replacements to increase daylight visibility. At night, my Custom Dynamics Adaptive II headlight works well for me at night on my 2019 FLHTP.

Yes.

And I also appreciate it when I lead a ride, so I can see the slow pokes way back behind me.

Nope, only at night on backroads. They attract extra bugs, so I only use them when I need them.
