If you get one that straps to the front of your sissy bar and it sits on your fender/rear seat, you get the added benefit of it becoming your backrest on long rides. The saddlebag option is great for everyday use, you can just throw something in there and carry it home after a hard day of shopping. Good luck deciding MissShelly.

I just do not like saddle bags on the dyna platform, so I favor sissy bar type bag which I am also in market for

Welcome. Wide Glides are great aren't they?

I have both. My saddlebags are quick release. The sissy bar bag is for overnight road trips. It seems that any time I get more than 60 miles from home rain starts pouring down out of nowhere so I always like to carry a jacket, chaps and a rain suit.

I have both too. My saddlebags are LeatherPro and are quick release. I also have two different bags that connect to the sissy bar, one large one I use for trips and a smaller one for day use.
