How's everybody doing today? I'll get this out of the way right now I'm not going to be one of those people but ask for help with a problem and then vanishes, I'll be here for a good while you may not like it LOL. I have a 2006 Electra Glide Ultra Classic twin cam 88 I recently replaced the crank position sensor and now the bike will run for about 15 seconds and shut off I have no idea what's going on I just know that I would like to get this problem solved before we replace everything in the cam chest, including adjustable push rods, new lifters, S&S bearings inner and outer Screaming Eagle High Volume oil pump and cam support plate, and hydraulic tensioners, I chose the Andrews t26a camshafts because of the long Power Band. Any help y'all can give me with the crank position sensor problem would be much much appreciated. Thanks in advance and y'all have a good day.
The alphabet would help. I am assuming 2006 ultra has i at end of it, but I don't know for sure.
Run for short time makes me think running out of fuel, but no reason to think that. Good point, what was it doing before you replaced?
IMO, bike is 18 years old, I am not afraid to throw parts at it, in the name of maintenance. In the industry I work in, for sake of reliablilty we replace before it fails, before it leaves you waiting for hours for a tow, late for work, or cop talking to you. That said, I have no clue why it would run for 15 seconds. Usually run is run.

You have to know that all the stuff in the cam chest is not the problem. Was the bike running after the cam chest upgrade?

Yea, a little more info would be nice
Bike history, why was CPS changed, what codes if any is it throwing, when was last time fuel filter was changed or fuel pressure tested?
.
Good luck with your problem.
.
what does the old crank sensor look like. post a pic. also, have you removed the "new" crank sensor to take a look at it after starting the bike with the new sensor.
