Default Noise when cold starting FXDB

I posted this in the tech side, wanted to see if you guys could be any help on this..

So I just bought my FXDB about a month ago, have put 850 miles on it, sitting around 7700 miles on it now. The bike has been sitting for 2 days now because yesterday was mothers day and today it's been pouring outside all day. I started the bike a few minutes ago to let it run for a few minutes and on the first start it made this LOUD scrape sound so I cut the motor and let it sit a few minutes. I started it the second time and it fired right up just like normal. Could smell a slight odor of gas, but nothing abnormal on a cold start. Any ideas on what this could be indicating? It's a little low on oil (not dangerously low though, just needs a little bit).

Quit listening and ride. Harley's can have strange noises from time to time. It will present itself if its a real problem.

did it make the noise while starting or after? If it did it while or just after it was cranking then it would probably be starter related. If it did it after it was running then I'd guess it's primary related. Are you sure you just didn't hold the starter button too long?

Like most of us we make a little noise getting going in the morning, but once were up were ok.
Kick starts used to be worse.
Don't worry about it.
My bike is hard to start on some days, I just keep the starter button pressed till it's awake.
Bang, fart, **** and were off.

Mine started with a bang on Friday...not quite a backfire, but a hard exhaust cough that drew some looks. Ran fine afterward so I didn't worry about it.
