51676-97A is the part number of the HD thumb screw replacement. This is a replacement for the factory one that requires a screwdriver or allen key, this one has a knurled **** on it so you don't need any tools to replace pillion seat. Most dealers would carry this part but its not cheap for a screw, over $20. Not sure what thread type it is, it of course it's going to be imperial.

Yea what Darke said. The plastic clip kit with screw was only like $6 when I bought it. But that was with the phillips screw.

It's a 1/4" x 20 thread. You can use fasteners from the hardware store.

Also, there are dozens of decorative seat screws on EBay and other sites,

Sorry, I thought I was posting on the Aussie version of the hdforums website. So the price will be slightly better for the USA, try $19.95. And of course it will be imperial, you have never heard of anything different.

At least it would be easy to explain the credit card statement to the missus: "Yes I paid for an expensive screw, but don't worry, my **** is now bigger"

1/4x20x3/4" long, just make sure it's stainless steel.

Tell me about it...HD banned the US dealers shipping stuff to Australia so they could screw the pants off us over here. Most of the bikes are $8K to $10K more expensive and our dollar has been higher than yours. We should all be smiling in AU ...we've been getting screwed for years....LOL... same with Ducati.
