Some people run without a horn. I've seen it posted more than a few times.

I've used mine twice. Both times were about 40 yards too late to have made any difference. It may have drawn attention to the finger I had in the air.

You always have your horn. Just pull in the clutch and grab a hand full of throttle.

I hear you on that one (no pun intended).

There are some which are re-located but three times louder than stock. I think it would worth a look around. They are not expensive.

I haven't had a horn in years. Never missed it. Anytime I thought about using the horn, it would have been after the fact just to draw attention to a middle finger like mentioned above.

I've been running without one for a year now. No regrets.

When I did the DK Customs coil relocation kit, I mounted the new horn between the front down tubes, similar to the Blackline stock horn mount. Anyway, I never hooked the wire up and have not missed it at all.

Thought about not hooking is up but Virginia frowns on the no horn bit. Can't pass the state inspection. (See below)

19VAC30-70-380. Motorcycle horn.

INSPECT FOR AND REJECT IF:

1. Motorcycle is not equipped with a horn in good working order capable of emitting sound audible under normal conditions for a distance no less than 200 feet.

2. Horn is not mounted securely, wiring is defective, control button is not operating properly, or is not installed at a location readily accessible to the operator.

I use my horn a lot. When the stock one went out, missed it a lot and upgraded to an air horn (wolo), much louder and worth it.

Loud pipes don't seem to get people's attention, but an air horn screech always does.
