Default New Speed/Tach

After alot of reading and asking questions I finally got my new tach to work. I could not get a signal from the usual places....#3 wire on speedo (because I replaced the factory unit), #3 slot in ECM (power commander plugged in here), LTGRN/V data wire just would not work. I finally got a signal from the COIL RR (Y/BE) wire. This worked on my SPEEDHUT unit. Can't promise as to other makes and brands. Hope this helps someone in the future as I have gotten plenty of ideas and help from this site. While I was at it I added the garage door opener to the odometer reset button since it wasn't being used anymore, works great. As for the Speedhut unit its really nice, since its GPS you can get Direction of travel, elevation, 0-60 time, 1/4 mile time, peak speed and rpm, and of course odometer and time.

Thanks guys. Its the 4" Dual gauge GPS Speedometer/8k Tachometer from Speedhut.com. I cant find a part number. If you go to their website you can customize a gauge, they have alot to choose from. Also they are very helpful with tech questions. I did have to open up the hole in my dash to get this to fit but it was fairly easy (1/4" air die grinder), just a little cut and try.
