Default Heading to NC

Im spending the 1st week of July in Murphy NC. Is anyone from that area? Im taking my skoot of course.....any suggestions? I've never been there.

You wont be far from the tail of the dragon, in Robbinsville, NC. Hit it on a weekday and avoid all the traffic.

Definitely hit the tail. Lots of AWESOME riding in that area. I was out there about a month ago and it riding heaven for sure. If you ride the tail, theyll even take your picture! Heres the wife and I from last month.

Thanks for the info guys..sounds like I may need to up my insurance b4 the trip.
What are the laws in NC--besides helmet..I have one..

Nice list. 28 is a blast(better than the tail IMO) and the skyway is a must. The stretch between the tail and the big dam(not the "fugitive" but the one above it) is great riding too.

Moloprintz pretty much covered it... you will be hard pressed to find a bad road, even the interstates and main highay is nice...

If you hit the Tail on a weekend, the cops are usually keeping a close eye on things-don't get crazy. I don't know about during the week.
I didn't have any trouble on the Blue Ridge Pkwy and we were going at a pretty good clip. That was 2 years ago so, things may have changed. Normally if you aren't going more than 10 over the speed limit you won't have a problem as long as you aren't doing stupid stuff.
