Lightbulb Eliminate key on FXDX

...Any of you bros do this?
The key on my personal bike, heavily modded 2000 FXDX, is a no-needo.

I'd like to do something like we used to do on the strip, just a toggle switch.
Thanks

Guess I only need to jump 2 of the wires for the toggle, right?

My bike had a toggle switch on it when I bought it. I was always kinda worried about not having a bike anymore when I come out after work.

Didn't mean to cause anyone underpants stress with my Q...

I know there are three wires and pin #1 is always Hot.
What I'm trying to find out, pretty please, is if I need to power both of the other wires.

Thanks

yes hot goes to one side of toggle and other 2 goes to other side unless you don't want lights

I don't like the key on my 2001 SG. I wonder what would be a secure way to hide a switch but still be handy? The key is a pain. I might get used to it.

What I'm looking into doing will hide better than the actual key did.
As pointed out here anyone with a coat hanger can jump the connector.
So far my thoughts are going toward the Marine waterproof toggle switches.
You can get them with an LED or without and re-route the wires from under the seat, where it will at least take some sneaky person a little longer to cause you pain.
The switch really doesn't need the LED since your engine indicator light will be on.

Thanks for all the chop guys. Very much appreciated.
Salute e' Semper Fi
