Although I really like my Ember Red/Merlot Super Glide I would like to tone down the "Glare" from all the chrome when I change the pipes. BUT, i also don't want to make a mistake I will regret. Any pictures of non-blacked out bikes with black pipes would be appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance. Tony

 

V&H Big Radius 2-1. I love its looks and sound. It's loud enough on the freeway to be heard while splitting lanes, but not so loud that my neighbors hate me.

wish I could help ya. theres quite a few colored bikes with black exhaust, and they all look really good. Its just a matter of your sense of style, and color balance. Post up a couple pics of your ride so we can all throw our .02 at ya

 

Here it is. Only thing I bought from the dealer is the docking setup for a sissy bar/ back rest and a quick remove windshield.

 

Lotsa chrome on that bike. I think if you went with black pipes, you'd have to switch out for a lot more black, just to balance it all out otherwise I'd think it'd look weird IMO.

 

I would do the 2:1 pipe, black air cleaner of some type and new shocks in black. Or just keep it chrome. That's why I asked opinions. Thanks.

r u trying to half chrome and half black out ur bike?
this is my opinion on that, cause i've seen it try to be done...
Half chrome n half black ends up looking like you couldn't make up your mind, and i wont say half/half bikes look half assed because its not, but it ends up looking like what i said, you went half way and couldn't make up ur mind... if that makes sense...
i've got a silver motor with lots of black outed accents, and to me, it still looks garbled, but i dont wanna start throwing black covers over the tranny, primary and cam chest cause i think the black covers over the silver motor will look even more garbled

 

Arejay you are right. That's why I want pictures. I am not against chrome or I would have bought a blacked out bike.
