Default My Tri-Bar light fix... i hope!

Just thought I would add my 2cents on the FXDF tribar light problem. From all info and pics on this forum, I (think) I came to a little different conclusion. It is my opinion that it is the weight of the license plate and frame that is cracking the plastic around the light bolts. Part of my reasoning is if it indeed it was the weight of the light causing problem the small mounting tabs molded into the light would have cracked also......

Any way, just puttin it out there. thinkin someone might DiggIt!

Tell me what u think! No worries..... I got one good feelin left, and I dont bring it here for U Fawker to Stomp On! haha

Great job.. looks really well planned and thought out.

The plastic tabs on the light itself are what usually cracks. Something I recently did (that I've seen lots of others here do) is remove the metal plate bracket and drill 2 holes and mount the license plate directly.

Ya I've considered making a few. I need to test this for awhile to see how it works out first. Thanks
