Oil dipstick / cap, 2013 Dynas part number?
Hi,
I've got a 2011 Wide Glide with the 96 engine. One part that sticks out is the actually (in my opinion) kind of cheaply looking oil dipstick/cap. On the 2013 (2012 also?) models with 103 engine the dipstick is black and on pictures looks better. I have not seen it on a close up picture though.
I am not interested in the digital dipsticks with gauges or the chrome ones that H-D is selling. I am interested in if I can just go for a 2013 dipstick, is it just changeable from my 2011? Engine size is different, so maybe the stick is too?
And if so, does anyone with a 2013 (2012?) model want to take a close up picture of the dipstick/cap and post?
And of course, would anyone be so kind to provide a part number?

if your dealer is any use, just go in, grab the parts guy and take him to a new dyna and tell him you want "that dipstick" not ur current one. thats acutally how i did it, my parts guy pulled the 2012 dyna book witht the parts diagrams and part numbers and hooked it up. i think it was less that 25 bucks, i dont remember for sure

The original cap can be painted. I painted mine back in 2010 with flat black grill paint and it still looks the same even though my Short Shot exhaust pipe goes right past it. If you look closely in my sig pic, you can see see the cap painted black (its in the curve of the upper pipe).
I realize this would not help a clearance issue with the stock cap but if its just a looks issue, just paint it. It will hold up.
