I haven't personally read the owners manual, but somebody on another post said:
In my manual, it's on pg. 37 in the Controls and Indicators section under Throttle Control Grip.
" To reduce rider fatigue on long trips, a spring-loaded throttle friction adjustment screw (10) is located at the bottom of the throttle grip clamp on non-cruse equipped models."
