Default Hard Street bags finally

I finally had the opportunity to install my Hard Street bags. I first bought these in December of 2011 with the plan of painting and installing them in the spring. In the spring of 2012, I painted the bike but ran into some issues painting the bags. My friend that was helping me got real busy and we never finished. When this spring came around, my buddy had a baby and I decided to finish the job myself. I finished painting them in April and the only time I had them off was to wash the bike. I took some pictures with them on and off. Honestly, I like the look of the bike without the bags but the bags are so convenient that the only time they've been off is when I washed the bike. With the solo rack, I can haul a lot of stuff. I used easy brackets but since I have them on all the time, I may as well have hard mounted them. Here are some pics.

Nice!

The reason you have stated for not taking them off is why I decided to just hard mount my bags, I don't see ever taking them off, well not before I end up with a touring bike, then I won't reall need the bags on the Dyna (unless my wife decides to learn to ride).

I find myself being able to ride more. There are times when I would have to leave the bike at home due to lack of storage space. I'm thinking the bags might need a pinstripe though to better flow with the pinstripe I put on the tank.

I love my Hardstreet bags as well!
I would like to get mine painted too, but I'm afraid they won't be able to match the Black Pearl.
They look real good on your bike.

Hey Puffdaddy,

I came here to check out the bags, but thought I'd chime in about your concern on paint. Most paint shops SHOULD be able to analyze your paint using a spectrum analyzer if there is not a match already available. However, I believe Westco has a match for Black Pearl.

Also, when we started our company, we had to find someone that could get perfect matches for our fairings. We started by asking our local Harley dealer who they used, and have been using the same folks for the last 7 years! Your dealer probably has someone they work with that would be able to match that for you.

Happy trails!

These bags look good on your bike. I would like them to be a little deeper though
