Default 2014 dyna custom 103

Traded my 2006 1200R sportster in today on a 2014 dyna custom 103.Where do I start.Any suggestions on exhaust, intake, tune, and styling tricks to get rid of factory junk like reflectors, guards, or other unneeded parts? What kind of power will the 103 make.

first to go reflectors, and upper & lower belt guards. removing the belt guards makes a huge difference, push the bars forward a bit until you get some new ones it will look better, take off front turn signals.

Congrats. I assume Superglide when you say custom.

It all depends on how your styling ideas are considered.

Check out a couple threads.
The thug / club thread has some cool modern concepts.
The ape hanger thread has some cool old school ideas.
If you're style is bags and windows, there are several threads with good info.

For pipes, look at Vance & Hines, D&D, Bassani.

For intakes, look at DK Customs, Performance Machine, Roland Sands, and Screamin' Eagle.

SLV made some real solid suggestions. I have '12 Superglide custom. I prefer the chrome and shiny vs. the blacked out look that some of the other guys prefer.. I am guessing you do as well or you would've bought one of the blacked out dynas and dont want to spend $$$ on changing alot of the bikes standard covers etc. over to wrinkle black.. (but you may..I cant say)

dunno how you had your sporty.. but heres what you do.. get a "theme" in mind.. what do you want in looks? performance? vs. the available $$$ and or a budget.. dont rush.. take your time and see it through.. dont be afraid to "adjust" your program as you learn and read here..

Most of all, ride the wheels off of it and let the factory "settings"/stock look of what the bike ISNT be your initial guide to changing things around..

welcome to the Dyna forum

As stated, don't rush the bigger, more expensive stuff. Ride it stock for 500 or so miles, even, and pick up some ideas to put together your plan. But for performance, pipes and breather. Good mentions already. The Arlen Ness Big Suckers are also good breathers and many people like the thunder header pipes. I'm a fan of 2 into 1 pipes.

Heat gun and goo gone worked beautifully on my reflectors. I ditched the belt guards, too. Such a better look, especially on the street bob.

Pics man!

Enjoy the ride!

This forum has a lot information that can help you decide on how you want your bike to look like. I have made a lot of changes on my 09 FXDC, all came from "borrowing" ideas from members on this forum. Just take your time and think things out before you drop a lot of money. I have spent a lot of money, but since I took it kind of slow, I am pleased with it all at this point.
