Default Front wheel/hub fitment through the years

I'm trying to sort out the specifics of Dyna front wheels. This is what I think I know:

- Starting in 2000, they use 3/4" axles with and bearings that have a 52mm outer diameter.
- Starting in 2006, the width of the hub increased by a mm or two.
- Starting in 2008, they use 1" axles, retaining the bearings with a 52mm outer diameter.
- All models are compatible (Fat Bob, Lowrider), as long as they are not Wide Glides.

Can anyone confirm my research? Are these wheels/hubs used on any other bikes? I want to make sure I have my numbers right before I buy the wrong part.

With regard to 2006, I've seen it said that the forks were made wider ("mid-glide"), but I can't find any concrete info about whether or not the hub also changed.

From reading around, it looks like 2006 changed to 1" axles with a different hub width than the 2000-2005, and there were no additional changes after that (as of 2013).

I thought all the Dynas ( and everything else ) went with 1" axle in 2000. My 2000 FXR4 has a 1" axle whereas the 99 and prior FXRs were 3/4".
Your getting into the weeds Tremelune, very few people will know these fine details. And I have been trying to do similar research with my 82 FXR, using a 99 Dyna Sport front end, with an unknown year Sportster rim. It's the axle/ bearing/ spacers bit I am trying to work through - so I understand your challenge. I know that this isn't helpful to your goal, but I have posted similar questions with 0 replies, so here's one reply! Good luck.

I'm well into the weeds; staring at microfiche. Some years have a hub part number, some have the whole wheel, some have different part numbers for what I'm almost certain are identical parts...

2008 every bike started using 25mm front and rear. Close to 1" but not 1". My chart is at work. If you still need answers come Tuesday I'll be glad to post yearly info. As far as hub widths I don't have that measurement.
