Default Which exhaust for Merck/Zippers 131

Looking to change exhaust system as the one I have keeps cracking and I keep fixing it or the mounting bracket.
What are my option?
What do you recommend?
At the port I have 2"ID at the moment the bike is pulling 164hp...
Looking for something almost off the shelf before building another custom one.

Thx
Joe

I have the rush headers, Reinhart 3.5, and are well made and nice sound. This also reduces heat with the ceramic coated headers. I couldn't be happier with mine. If interested, let me know, will put u in contact with a wholesaler....

It's going to be very hard to find an off the shelf exhaust for a dyna that will support that much motor. I think your best bet, and cheapest, and closest to what you have would be some 2" cycle shack phd-232. They perform really well and can be had for less than $300. But will just any exhaust fit with that motor and flange at the head? Might have to be modified.

Try a Bassani B1? They have 1 3/4" head pipes that open to 1 7/8" at the collector. Bassani told me awhile back the B1 muffler is for large bore high power motors

That's close to what I have right now, with 2" OD, the pipes I am running now is at 2"ID or 2 1/8"OD, I will put this on the list before I make a final decision.
What I am seeing is a lot of the manufacturers are marketing pipes for "Big inch, Hi-comp" engines etc.. but those are 1 3/4 tapered pipes. The Bassani B1 recommended is very attractive.
Has anyone run a Big inch motor (124" +) with 1 3/4" at the port?
I have a Pro pipe sitting that I can modify to work , would just like some feedback on the sizing of the pipe if anyone has used this size exhaust on a "large inch motor". The Pro pipe is also a tapered 1 3/4 like the Bassani.

You've had or seen a dyna boarzilla make 160+ hp? I don't know of an off the shelf dyna 2-1 that's capable of anywhere near that. Seems like the pro pipe ho has the most potential as far as primary tube/collector sizing but the pipe is ridiculously hideous, long and heavy. I agree that Jbv, burns or wegner custom pipe would be the way to go if the op is willing to spend the money.

Forget the RB.

Jbco2, do you have a dyno sheet of where the bike is now? Can you give more info on the motor? Sounds pretty stout.
