Default LA choppers apes w/built in risers

According to J & P these will fit my 13' wide glide. I don't understand how these risers work and will they clear my top fork nuts? They are 1.5" barsLA choppers apes w/built in risers-712-280_a.jpg

I looked at those too. Didn't like the combination of angle and curves. Ended up going with the Todd's Cycle version instead and separate risers.

Also lookin @ the Todd's and carlini evils. I hear the carlinis run a little higher than advertised. Dont want to go over 14. I like the idea of 1.5" dia

I don't like the idea of not being able to adjust my apes. I must have moved them at least once a day until I got them to where I really like them. Then I mark the bars and risers, so if they slip back in the wind I can fix it.

These say you can move forward or back. I don't understand how though. I don't want to be stuck and one position either.

III, I have these on my 2010 Fatboy. The way they work is, the bar is knurled on the inside, and inside, there is a little rounded block that is also knurled. When you tighten the bolt, the knurles mate up to prevent the bar from slipping. You can adjust them forward or back however you want, then tightne them down. If you dont like the spot, loosen, adjust, then retighten. Once you find that spot you love, tighten the F*$K out of them! Mine havent slipped yet and Ive had them since April. They are sweet *** bars!
